Spiros Tassis, LLM is a Legal and Privacy Advisor in Evolution Ltd projects . He has over two decades of experience and PQE in advising entities active in the TMT/ICT market, whether in-house (Head Corporate Legal Adviser, Cosmoline; Corporate Legal Adviser, Vodafone) or an external consultant, specialized in IT and Privacy Law.

 

An Associate of the Department of Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia, he is the Chairman of the Hellenic Association of Data Protection and Privacy (HADPP) and former co‐chair of the Greek Knowledge Chapter of IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).

 

He has helped write the Greek law on deploying national fiber optics networks (Ftth) and advised the same ministry on NIS Directive implementation. He is an Editor of the "Media and Telecommunications Law Review" since 2005, covering the TMT and Data Protection Law.

 

He has co-authored articles and books, including “Facebook, Blogs and Rights” (2012), “Fundamental Human Rights in Greece – Freedom of Expression and Press” (2017), “Personal Data – Analysis and Facts” (2019) and with a “Legal Guide on Electronic Communications in Greece” (Greek Law Digest; 2012, 2016, 2019).

 

He advises ICT firms, startups, and firms in IT and infrastructure-intensive segments and is a guest lecturer.
